    活动背景:东南大学医学院现拥有在校MBBS学生近400人,在不断促进留学生教学质量提高的同时,医学院正全面规划与改革留学生医学教育,树立教学品牌、提升教育品质。在此背景下,医学院拟组织开展丰富多彩的留学生课外活动,本次“文化周”活动的组织,亦旨在为医学院留学生在校期间的学习和生活添上浓墨重彩的一笔。

    一、摄影、绘画大赛:
    1、征集作品主题:我心中的南京、我心中的东南
    2、作品要求:体现丰富多彩的大学生课外文化生活,反映对大学、对南京这座城市的热爱,记述在南京学习、生活中的乐事、趣事、精彩或难忘的瞬间、经历等,展现留学生积极向上的精神风貌。富有创意、新意、寓意。
    3、作品征集:①摄影作品以班级为单位提交,2008年级、2009年每班1块展板,2010年级2块展板,2007年级、2011年级、2012年级每班2-3块展板,每块展板10-15幅照片。 ②截止日期:请于2013年4月28日前交至东南大学医学院基一楼教学办公室秦娟老师(13851797681)处。
    4、作品展示:学院统一制作摄影作品展示展板(90*120cm),学生以班为单位布置展板,每人限报一副摄影作品,作品尺寸为8英寸,需命名。绘画作品尺寸、数量不限。各班负责提交作品的登记工作(含作品作者姓名、班级、作品编号)。
    上述作品5月6日-10日在东南大学丁家桥校区医林餐厅门口以匿名编号展出。请各位班主任协助组织好分管班级参赛作品的收集、初筛和提交。

    二、演讲比赛:
    1、演讲主题:我心中的南京、我心中的东南
    2、参赛要求:每位参赛学生演讲时间为5分钟,语言要求为英语和汉语2种语言,其中汉语演讲不少于1/2。

    ALL STUDENTS HAVE TO TAKE PHOTOS FOR FINAL DEGREE & INTERNSHIP CERTIFICATES.

    College have appointed professional photographer for all students.

    Photographer will come to Dingjiaqiao Dorms on April 25th 2013 2.30 Pm.

    Every Student have to pay 12 RMB to Photographer.

    All Student have to wear White Color Shirt / Top & No wearing of Glasses. These are Mandatory.

    For Yangzhou Hospital Students, after coming back to Nanjing they will arrange or have to go to Photographer’s Photoshop by their own.

    Steps to Crack FMGE (MCI Screening Test ) in 2 Months


    Addressed by One FMGE (MCI SCREENING TEST) Aspirant who cleared exam in March 2013.

    Dear All, 

    I recently, cleared March 2013 FMGE exam with two months dedicated preparation. I really mean two months because I finished MD in 2009 from Ukraine and thereafter, I joined clinical fellowship in Europe. I would like to emphasize how I prepared for an exam and I hope the following steps may help other FMGE aspirants. 

    You should really believe yourself that you can clear the exam with your hard work and some essential basics. 

    1. I started reading PSM FMGE and DNB questions and it took almost 7 days to complete. 
    2. After PSM I started PROAFS FMGE questions only and it took me only 3 days to complete.
    3. Thirdly, I go through KAMAL KV basic notes which is very brief for following subjects. 

    Physiology KAMAL KV basic notes I guess around 7 to 8 pages and thereafter I did KAMAL KV FMGE questions on the same day. 

    Next day I took Biochemistry read KAMAL KV basic notes also around 9 pages and thereafter I did KAMAL KV FMGE questions on the same day. 

    and the Pattern of Study continuous for following subjects. 

    • a- Pathology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only) 
    • b- Microbiology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 
    • c- Pharmacology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 
    • d- Medicine (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 
    • e- Surgery (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 
    • f- Opthal (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 
    • g- Obs and Gyne ((Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only ) 

    I only did Kamal KV FMGE questions for remaining subjects like ENT, Pediatrics, Forensic medicine. 

    Most important thing in my study plan was 3 times revision plan for each subject and I stick to it till the end and I managed to do it. 

    Last week before exam schedule. 
    1- One day preparation for PSM 
    2- One day preparation for PROAFS 
    3- One day preparation for Pre-clinical subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochem) 
    3- One day preparation for Pre-clinical subjects (Pathology, Pharma, micro) 
    4- One day preparation for Clinical subjects (Medicine, Surgery) 
    5- One day preparation for Clinical subjects (Opthal. Obs and Gyne) 
    6- One day for other subjects like, ENT, FM, Pediatrics. 
    7- One day final revision for all subjects. 

    I left anatomy basic notes but did FMGE questions thoroughly. 

    Again I stress that you need to revise at least three times before exam. Also, you should strongly determine and trust your-self that you can pass the exam no matter how different the exam pattern is. Last but not least at-least 2 minutes to Almighty per day. 

    I am sure everyone can pass the exam with dedication. There is no other loophole.

                            Hi everybody….hope everyone is doing well…i have herein written the procedures for transfer internship… first of all i am extremely sorry for this late mail as i was busy and so had to recollect all the procedures for doing internship in a step wise way …..

                            Below you can find the procedure for applying to Government hospitals in ANDHRA PRADESH for doing rotatory internship with Gandhi medical hospital as reference. ….

                            The procedures might vary a little in different hospitals in terms of demand drafts but the procedures in AP MEDICAL COUNCIL, the DME OFFICE and IN NTRUHS IN VIJAYWADA ARE THE SAME FOR ALL STUDENTS….

                            I have put the proceedings in a stepwise PATTERN to the best of my memory…..

                            The procedure starts after you receive your pass certificate of FMGE from NBE (national board of examinations)..

                            PLEASE DO FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO YOUR OTHER FRIENDS WHO WISH TO APPLY FOR INTERNSHIP IN AP HOSPITALS….

                            STEP 1)
                            Once you receive your pass certificate from NBE go to Delhi and apply to medical council of India for temporary registration by downloading the forms from their website..usually you will be given an acknowledgement tracking number sheet immediately after your application is processed on the same day…the applications are taken and processed between 3 to 5 pm from Monday to Friday…remember to take 5 to 6 Xerox copies of this tracking number sheet for further procedures…you can check your application status online by this tracking number…..

                            Now the detailed procedures are as below

                            Step 2)
                            Now download the provisional registration form from AP MEDICAL COUNCIL WEBSITE.Fill it and submit it with the following documents:–

                            a) Xerox copy of fmge mark sheet which is attested by gazette officer

                            b) Provisional MBBS pass certificate and MARKS SHEET issued by your university

                            c) A demand draft for rupees 1000 in favor of ANDHRA PRADESH MEDICAL COUNCIL from Andhra bank (this Andhra bank is located right inside the premises of AP medical council ie in the cellar of the building which is present right opposite to the Andhra bank atm)

                            d) Xerox copy of tracking number sheet which you got from MCI.

                            e) AN AFFIDAVIT on 10 rs non judicial stamp paper stating that you have passed the FMGE and got the tracking number etc…(This affidavit can be got from the notary in the Xerox shop cum tea stall shop which is present next to AP medical council building …you can also get it done from om shiva xerox shop .this shop is located in the very small lane located right opposite to sitara hotel in koti…all these people have the format of this affidavit…it costs almost 150 rupees (i don’t remember exactly)

                            Submit all these in the morning and in the evening of the same day you will get the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR THE RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR PROVISIONAL MEDICAL REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE.

                            Take this certificate and immediately get 4 to 5 Xerox copies and go back to the same person who issued this certificate to you and get the seal of AP medical council seal on all the Xerox copies…

                            Step 3)
                            Now the procedure at DME (directorate of medical education) office:–

                            Write a request letter addressing the DME asking to issue NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) to do your internship in the hospital of your choice (any government hospital in AP in which you want to do your internship) .

                            also mention your name the details about your college from where you did your mbbs…
                            attach all the Xerox copies of certificates as in step 2 (no need to submit any DD and affidavit now in DME) along with the acknowledgement Xerox paper on which you had got the seal of AP medical council and submit them in room number 316 or 318( i am not sure) to one person named apparao.. He is the person who will issue the NOC to you…it will take 3 to 6 days to get this NOC..Take Xerox copies of this NOC and get them attested….

                            STEP 4)
                            After getting this NOC from DME go to Gandhi hospital ( as in your case) and write a request letter addressing the superintendent of the hospital asking to issue an NOC.

                            Take a DD in the favor of SOCIETY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING HOSPITALS for rs 1000..( this DD can be taken from state bank of Hyderabad new bhoiguda branch which is right in the cellar of Gandhi medical college… both buildings of Gandhi hospital and Gandhi medical college are in the same premises) now submit the request letter .

                            The DD and all the certificates as in step 2 ( no need to submit any affidavit) plus the acknowledgement Xerox paper on which you had got the seal of AP med council and the Xerox copy of the NOC you got from DME office to the PA of the superintendent of Gandhi hospital……the superintendent office is in the main hospital building…anybody can guide you there. remember the PAs room is next to superintendent room itself..and remember to wear an apron and no jeans as well…

                            So now you will be issued an NOC. Remember that this is the the NOC from GANDHI MEDICAL HOSPITAL..Take 4 to 5 Xerox copies of this and get them attested…

                            STEP 5)
                            After getting NOC from Gandhi medical hospital go to Gandhi medical college…now take a DD in favor of PRINCIPAL, COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY, GMC

                            FOR RUPEES 10,000 (TEN THOUSAND) .write a request letter addressing the principal of Gandhi medical college asking to issue an NOC and submit them in the principal’s office along with your academic certificates plus the Xerox copies of AP med council acknowledgement, NOC of DME and NOC of Gandhi medical hospital..

                            So now you will get another NOC ie the NOC from Gandhi medical hospital……take Xerox of this NOC also and get 3 to 4 copies attested….

                            NOW THE JOURNEY TO VIJAYWADA TO NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

                            STEP 6)
                            Go to Vijayawada to NTRUHS( NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES).( from Vijayawada bus station direct buses go to NTRUHS i think number 11 or 52 or 54 not sure…) ..

                            .. Write two request letters addressing the registrar of NTRUHS to issue NOC to do internship in Gandhi medical hospital. go to the bank (i think SBH) which is in the Siddhartha medical college building ie next to NTRUHS building and get a DD for rupees 5000 (five thousand) write your residence address and demand draft number on the left bottom of both the request letters… submit one request letter and the DD along with all academic transcripts plus the Xerox copies of AP med council acknowledgement, NOC of DME , NOC of Gandhi medical hospital and NOC of Gandhi medical college…

                            On the 2nd request letter take the seal of NTRUHS and the date seal..This stands as proof that you have submitted the documents …it would take 3 to 4 days by hand and one to 2 weeks by post to get this NOC…

                            After getting the NOC from NTRUHS things now start from DME office again……

                            STEP 7)
                            after getting the NOC from Vijayawada go to DME office again…write a request letter asking to issue the FINAL ORDER to join in Gandhi hospital…now take another affidavit on 10 rupees non judicial stamp paper stating that you will not claim any stipend during the internship period .also take another DD for rs 500 in favor of DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL EDUCATION, HYD, AP payable at hyd.. submit them along with all academic transcripts and Xerox copies of AP med council acknowledgement, NOC of DME , NOC of Gandhi medical hospital NOC of Gandhi medical college and NOC from NTRUHS ….you can collect the final order within 2 to 3 days…

                            STEP 8)
                            After getting the final order from DME office go to Gandhi medical college SBH bank in the cellar…here you have to take 3 fresh demand drafts…

                            One for 30000(thirty thousand rupees) in favor of SOCIETY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING HOSPITALS, GANDHI HOSPITAL, sec-bad and

                            The 2 separate DDs for 5000 each (five thousand rupees each)

                            In favor of SOCIETY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING HOSPITALS, GANDHI HOSPITAL ,sec-bad ….. ( so total 3 fresh DDs)

                            Take these 3 DDs and write a request letter ADDRESSING THE SUPRINTENDENT asking to issue the internship posting schedule and submit them to the PA of the superintendent along with final order and all the NOCs and the tracking number ,the FMGE pass certificate Xerox and all your academic transcripts… ….REMEMBER TO WEAR AN APRON AND NO JEANS

                            make it a point to carry white papers( to write the request letters) all your originals and attested Xerox copies of the originals where ever you go… and also take Xerox copies of the DDs and retain with yourself before you submit them at various offices so that they come handy if you encounter any problem in future….

                            SO AFTER UNDERGOING ALL THESE PROCEDURES YOU CAN FINALLY GET YOUR POSTING SCHEDULE FROM THE PA OF THE SUPERINTENDENT.

                            Next semester 2007MBBS will have course of animal surgery. And we are planning to use dogs for experiment, hoping no problem for everyone. If anyone feels uncomfortable in religion, please let us know in advance.
